Function KUPER TFS 3100 – System Casati
With the KUPER TFS 3100 - System Casati its possible to cut the veneer bundle from both sides at the same time with two knifes in a single step. The top knife (K1) has its position on the pressure bar (P), the bottom knife on the moveable table (T). The machine has a pressure bar (P) to fix the bundle during the cutting. The movement of the knife (K1) is from top to bottom while the knife (K2) moves in the opposite direction.
Process
At first the cutting width is set up with the keypad. Afterwards the veneer bundle is passed on the table and the width is defined using the optimization laser. The machine performs the following steps:
- Positioning of the moveable table
- Downturn of the pressure bar
- Cutting motion of the two knifes at the same time
- Lifting up the pressure bar
The machine has an electronical microprocessor-controlled positioner which saves about 2000 cutting dimensions.

Straight and parallel cutting of the veneers – Maximum precision in cutting ensures the tight-joint splicing after the cut for all kinds of veneer.
Visible marking of cutting line
Clearly visible marking of the cutting line by means of a guide light. Occupational safety regulations are met by a light barrier safety device, two-hand operation, electric safety control system and protective gratings at the rear.

An adjustable optimization laser reduces the amount of veneer scrap.
Saving of time
The machine has a cutting capacity of approximately 2 to 3 packs per minute. This includes inserting, aligning, cutting and removing the veneer.
